How to reach there: You can take a bus from either Bangalore or Mysore. Go for KSTDC package tour or hire your own vehicle.

The Somnathpur temple near to Mysore is an architectural marvel. The temple was built in Hoysala style by the Hoysala kings. The temple known as Keshava temple was completed in the year 1268 and inagurated by Hoysala king Narshima 3. The temple is star shaped and the structure is fully craved out of stones.
