Madiwala lake is located near BTM layout. Once you cross silk board, keep driving. You will find a petrol bunk on the right hand side at a junction. Take left here and keep going straight until you see a park followed by the lake.

There is a small children’s park. This place is also frequented by couples. There is nothing much to see, as large part of the lake is covered with water hyacinth and other aquatic grass. I think lake should be cleaned and put to better use. One good thing about this lake is, it is bigger in length. So it has a larger shoreline. The Lake Development Authority should hand over this lake to private parties on the lines of KR Puram lake. I feel it has a lot of potential. There is a nominal entry fee to the park. I did not go there for obvious reason that there is nothing much. Parking is free.
This is the same lake which over flowed and caused flood in 2005.

KR Puram lake on left hand side when you are going towards Hoskote. This lake was uncared for a long time and was covered with water haycinth. But recently the BBMP (the local body) handed over the lake to a private party who developed the lake and maintains it. They named it Fantasy Lagoon.
Entry fee: Rs 30 per person, for children Rs 15/head
Camera: Rs 50
Timmings: 11 am – 7 pm

The side of the lake is barricaded and they have created a jogging track along the side of the lake. Ample sitting arrangements have been made with sheds. There are two gates for entrance – gate 1 from KR Puram side and gate 2 from TC Palya side. They have introduced various boat rides like speed boar, scooter boat, padel boat etc. A typical round of the lake costs Rs 40. Padel boat for half an hour cost Rs 40 and thereafter every 15 min cost Rs 10. They have also introduced many fishes. You can also see fishes swimming on the shores of the lake. With the sapling of many trees, KR Puram lake has developed into a good eco system. Lots of birds throng the lake for fishes. They have a made a artificial island in the lake. A few ducks were also introduced.

Though the price is little high but you will be satisfied to spend time there. Even on a Sunday afternoon there was hardly any people. It is a lovers paradise. You can see mostly couples. During evening, there will be crowd.
